The work of the HGNI is accomplished through numerous programs and projects administered by the following national centers:

  • The American Academy of Nursing (AAN): Building Academic Geriatric Nursing Capacity (BAGNC) and the Geropsychiatric Nursing Collaborative (GPNC)

  • The American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN): Geriatric Nursing Education Project

  • Community College of Philadelphia in partnership with the National League for Nursing: Advancing Care Excellence for Seniors (ACES)

  • The Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International: Geriatric Nursing Leadership Academy
